Lady Gaga Fame Perfume First Ever Black Eau de Parfum Smells like Tears of Belladonna

Posted in Art & Music, Beauty & Health, Celebrity & Entertainment, Fashion with tags , , , on September 14, 2012 by Alan + Mei-Mei the pug

Every celebrity when they hit a certain popularity, it’s almost like a status symbol to have your own fragrance collection and a fragrance name after you. Most of them we’ve seen from Britney Spears “Fantasy” a sweet, princess-ish scent to Mariah Carrey’s “M by Mariah Carey” that has a butterfly as the bottle cap almost a little tacky! but I am impressed how lady gaga does her perfume, never-before-seen Black Eau De Parfum !

Simplistic design of oval black bottle with gold claw! and the short film to advertise the perfume was done in a black and white French Gothic futuristic Tron feeling horror film style. Hey, what did you really expect Lady gaga do anything in the normal way?

Marissa Webb Spring 2013 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

Posted in Fashion with tags on September 9, 2012 by Alan + Mei-Mei the pug

The former head of women’s design at J. Crew, Marissa Webb’s Spring Summer 2013 debut collection was utterly fabulous! If you think her own collection will probably look much similar to J. Crew, then you’re wrong! Her own collection has more an “Urban Fairytale” magic to it, a much cleaner and crisper form & lines that’s totally all American minimalistic chic with an European sensibility to it.

I love the everyday casual luxury looks she has presented in this collection, I especially love how she use the contrast of crisp black & white color & lines mix with a splash of vibrant colors, combining tough hard look & feel of leather with soft chiffon dress. Her collection has the ultimate uptown chic with downtown cool feel to it!

When I saw this beautiful wedding photo by Lakshal Perera from Melbourne Australia I was speechless by the magic he has captured in this photo. Lakshal Perera shot this magical wedding photograph showing the newlywed couple in the foreground and the Milky Way floating in the night sky. The surrounding was extremely dim, allowing for a clear view of the sky. Lakshal Perera captured it in a single exposure using a Canon 5D Mark III and 16-35 f/2.8L lens at 17mm, 71 seconds of exposure, f/5.6, and ISO boosted up to 4000 (wow). It’s pure magic!

The photographer Lakshal Perera graduated from University with a PhD in Medical Radition Physics, and as a young child, all he dreamed about was being an astronaut. As an adult, all he dreams about is being a wedding photographer. So when his client Warren & Shirley in Deniliquin ask him to do photograph their wedding photo, when Lakshal took this magical wedding photo for them, both things came together for one brief moment.

R.I.P Vidal Sassoon “If You Don’t Look Good, We Don’t Look Good” Hairstyle Guru Died Today at Age 84

Posted in Beauty & Health, Fashion on September 9, 2012 by Alan + Mei-Mei the pug

The Hairstylist guru Vidal Sassoon passed away in his Beverly Hills home today 5-9-2012 at age 84. When my mother was still a young girl back in the 1950s, women’s hair was heavily styled, curled, teased into a shape that doesn’t move and almost looks like you’re wearing a helmet! until Vidal Sassoon came along in the 1960s, his creative vision revolutionize how women dress their hairs & set the complete new look in the world of fashion.

What made Vidal Sassoon’s cut so revolutionary was his creative cuts that require almost no styling necessery!, you can just “Wash & Wear” and everything will just fell into place perfectly every time! He has liberated women all over the world & unshackled them from curling irons & hairsprays.
